How 2017 Has Changed MY Life

Just a heads up;
This is going to be a 1000% honest & personal blog.
I hope it can help YOU enter 2018 with a grateful & positive mind set.

This past year was an enormously important year for me in so many ways. No, it wasn't all good...or even close. But I truly believe everything that went on will help me to grow in the future. Let me give you a quick dramatic summary of the changes that I made within the last year; Last year I turned a corner financially when I realized I was spending too much, and paying no attention to my rising credit card bills. I was never much of a 'saver'- I believed I was "too young" to need to worry about that kind of thing. It wasn't until last December when I had to withdraw the little savings I had to pay my credit card bills that I realized something must change. I started to save some of my money. Little bits at a time. I set savings goals for the next month, and then the whole year. Before I knew it, I had saved more than double what I had originally planned on. Other than the financial responsibility that I've discovered, I also cleaned up my entire life- and i mean that both literally and figuratively. It's taken me an entire year (with terrible OCD, mind you), but i got rid of the tons of clutter that held me back. I donated clothes I would never wear, kept my working and sleeping spaces clean, and made organization a priority. I learned how to keep a proper schedule, and became obsessed with planning and making to-do lists. I also started a small project at the beginning of 2017 to write down any little things that made me happy and put it into a jar, so that at the end of the year i would open all the notes and remember for everything I accomplished/went through during the year. It sounds so silly, but the difference all of this has made on my life is insanity. Small things repeated every single day have certainly added up to some HUGE changes.
2017 was also the first year I took a leap and opened my own fitness business. I cannot thank you all enough for all the support, help, love, and faith you have given me. It means more than I could ever explain in words. I cannot wait to see how much more I can grow with this company in the future.
Finally, this year I also grew as a competitor and fitness professional. I realized how badly I want to chase these crazy dreams of mine, and even got to see that I can achieve some amazing things with some time and a whole lot of perseverance. Not giving up has always been my thing- and 2018 will be NO different--- i'm coming for everything they said I could never have.
So in summary; Not all of the things that happened in 2017 are GREAT things, for any of us. But I believe the general theme of this year was simply preparing me to be greater for the next year. I am grateful for the person I have become as a result of everything I have learned or gone through. I am grateful for every single one of you who support me in any and every way. & I am especially grateful that I get the privilege of living to see what amazing things
I can do in 2018. (And I can't wait to help YOU all achieve the goals you have set for this year!)
