MY LIST OF FITNESS TOOLS TO HELP YOU SUCCEED!

New to the fitness game?
Find out what you REALLY need to succeed.

When it comes down to it, the only thing you need to succeed is the
DESIRE TO CHANGE, and the attitude to make it happen.
However, there are some things that I have found that will make your path to success just a tiny bit easier to stay on. I've found that the more excuses you eliminate right away, the more likely you are to succeed!
So, without further ado.. here is my list of fitness tools
that will help you to reach your goals even faster.

1. Protein Powder

Any type of protein powder is a fantastic investment. You don't have to be a muscle head to realize that having a shake after a workout or in place of a snack can be incredibly useful! It will supply you with 20-30 grams of protein punch that will help your muscles start to recover right away, which = more muscles gained!
Plus.. if you are always on the go, it makes getting your daily protein intake that much easier.

2. Resistance Bands

Bodyweight exercises are an incredibly effective workout by themselves.
However, when you begin to need a bit more resistance for your muscles then resistance bands are a fantastic supplement to your workouts. If you are traveling, these will come in very handy. If you don't have a gym membership, or even if you do, purchasing a pair of resistance bands will be a worthwhile investment.

3. Large Water Bottle

This may sound silly at first, but one of the biggest problems I have with my clients is that they DON'T DRINK ENOUGH WATER. That, and they don't realize that they aren't drinking enough water. Its easy to forget how many little bottles you have consumed after an entire day passes. However, if you purchase a large water bottle that holds 30-60 OZ of water or more and keep refilling it.. you can keep better track and assure that you are going to drink enough water throughout the day.

4. A Smart Watch

Not the MOST necessary thing on this list, but I know I couldn't live without mine.
A smart watch that tracks your calories, steps, and heart rate can be very useful when looking for a health change or starting to workout. As a trainer, it can be very important for us to know your heart rate while exercising so we can determine the level of activity you need to accomplish your goals! It's also good to wear one during every day activities so you can keep track of your base amount of calories burned.

5. A Gym Membership/Trainer

Now clearly I am 100% biased here.
But as someone who has worked both AS a trainer, and WITH a trainer for many years;
this will always be the best investment you could possibly make. If you are someone who honestly is not sure where to start, what to do, or how to move forward in your fitness journey; these two tools are critical to your success. A trainer can help give you the foundation of knowledge you need to succeed, or be a continuing reinforcement of motivation for you to continue. A gym membership is not always necessary but it is a good source of motivation and focus when you can't seem to focus enough to get a proper workout in at home. Investing in a trainer, whether it be long term or short term, will be a game changer for your fitness goals.
